To reach your potential, several things are required. First, you must understand your purpose in life. Only then can you clarify your values, establish your goals, determine a plan of action, prioritize what’s important and effectively utilize your time and energy. Purpose is the aim of your life, that is, what you want to attain through living. Purpose answers the question "Why am I living?" Finding your purpose is a spiritual quest. It represents your ability to connect with something greater than yourself.

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to get more done, are happier, have more enthusiasm and energy, and perhaps more friends than you do? Or have you ever felt that you didn’t have any real direction to your life, or that the direction you once had has diminished? Quite likely, part of the problem stems from the fact that those who you admired most were experiencing personal fulfillment.

Being fulfilled means to realize or manifest completely – to make evident to the senses. Fulfillment brings satisfaction and a feeling of inner contentment and peace.

Once you have a good understanding of your purpose, or have revised it as you enter a new stage of life, you are ready to move to begin defining your goals and moving forward with a clear and definite purpose.
